When we just started what is the third month of the year, we already know some of the highlights for this year’s high-end smartphones. Have been at the moment a HONOR, two LG, three Xiaomi and four Samsung, and it seems that those who are going to maintain tradition in terms of their front-line phones, according to what we think we know about the Huawei P30 Lite, P30 and P30 Pro before that they are presented.
An event for which we have been quoted on March 26 , arriving almost a month after the MWC 2019 . As usual, networks have been filled with leaks and rumors, and even Huawei CEO himself dropped some clue as a “mistake” (very, very quoted).
Last year we had diagonals of 5.84, 5.8 and 6.1 inches for the Huawei P20 Lite , Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro . It is not exactly small screens, but seeing that the high range seems to be settling at 6.2-6.4 inches it seems that theirs is growing, and for the Huawei P30 Lite there is talk of a 6-inch screen, 6.1 inches for the P30 and 6.5 inches for the P30 Pro , IPS for the first and OLED for the latter.
But according to the images purportedly filtered there will be some changes in terms of the frames and the front, but nothing of the hole as in the Huawei Nova 4 . Apparently the notch is reduced, taking the form we saw already in the Mate in the form of “U”, and the lower frame is reduced thanks to the elimination of the capacitive fingerprint reader to take it to the screen in the upper two, as the of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro , remaining in the back in the case of the P30 Lite.
The previous years the makers of new processor in the high-end Huawei have been the Mate, since the SoC has been presented at the IFA in Berlin that is held every year in September. But for this year a change in the agenda of the Chinese manufacturer has sounded strong, so that it is the Huawei P30 Pro that integrates and releases the supposed Kirin 990 , according to sources close to Huawei and related to the TSMC assembly line.
The reason? How not, the 5G. The Kirin 990 would maintain the 7 nanometers of the current Kirin 980 as well as the dual NPU, but it would integrate the 5G Balong 5000 modem , so the P30 Pro (perhaps the standard P30 as well) would be compatible with the 5G.
