New Razer Blade 15: double hard drive and graphics GTX 1070 Max-Q in only 2 kg of weight

Razer will release its new Razer Blade 15 gaming notebook this October. The renewed models opt for a double SSD + mechanical hard drive and above all a design that is far from the dimensions, weight and extravagance of some gaming lines.

Connectivity and more storage capacity are the two improvements that the new Razer Blade 15 brings with it. This gaming notebook with a clear approach to esports has an unconventional design but far from the robust classic appearance of gaming laptops. It is immediately noticeable in the thickness and weight, of less than 2 cm and little more than 2 kg respectively.

With the base of the eighth-generation Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of RAM (DDR4, 2667MHz) expandable to 32GB and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics (6GB GDDR5 VRAM, Optimus Technology), the Razer Blade 15 basic has a configuration of double storage consisting of a SSD m.2 SATA III of 128 GB plus hard drive of 5400 rpm of 1 TB, although we can opt for a superior model with a NVMe PCIe 3.0 of 256 GB and 2 TB of classic hard drive. In both cases the components are updatable by the users themselves.

The design, which remains the previous generation, has its strong point in the RBG keyboard with full backlighting with Razer Chroma technology (with anti-ghosting) but which is not mechanical. What is included is an Ethernet port to enhance the connectivity of the players.

Regarding the screen, it is 15.6 inches with FullHD resolution and refresh rate of 60 Hz. Its starting price is 1699 euros. It is put on sale this week in the US and China, while in Europe we will have to wait until November.

Limited Edition Razer Blade 15 Mercury White

With a very striking and elegant matt white finish, the Razer Blade 15 will go on sale in the US, Canada and China in a limited edition called Mercury Blanco and that will not only bring aesthetic differences with the basic model but a reinforced power.

The Razer Blade 15 edition Mercury Blanco shies away from the classic aesthetics of Razer gaming laptops and only the black USB ports and the unlighted Razer logo will add a classic touch to the device.

Beyond the appearance, the strength of the new blank model is in the graphics card, which can be an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q (8GB GDDR5 VRAM, Optimus Technology) associated with a 15.6-inch screen as the of the basic model, but calibrated at the factory and with FullHD panel of 144 Hz. The base storage capacity is 512 GB of PCIe SSD memory that we can expand up to 2 TB.

The Razer Blade 15 edition Mercury Blanco will be released in limited edition with a starting price of $ 2199 for the version with the GTX 1060 and $ 2599 for the model that includes the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q.
