They are the three musketeers from OPPO. The manufacturer has renewed its catalog and has launched three models: the OPPO Find X3 Pro and OPPO Find X3 Neo are also joined by the OPPO Find X3 Lite 5G , a somewhat more compact device but which boasts 5G connectivity and a promising set of cameras.
The last name “Lite” is actually a bit misleading, because this is a smartphone with very decent performance in practically all sections : perhaps the 4,300 mAh battery is the only point that may raise any doubts.
Under the 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen (which also offers support for refresh rates of up to 90 Hz ) we have the fingerprint reader, although biometrics is reinforced with facial recognition provided by the 32-megapixel front camera.
A design with a hole in the screen and camera module that grows slightly
The design of this Find X3 Lite makes clear changes compared to its predecessor, the OPPO Find X2 Lite from last year. This is noticeable in the first place on the front, which goes from having a notch centered in a “drop” format to one in the form of a hole on the screen in the upper left part of the terminal.
The rear also changes in the design of the camera module, which is now a wider and less tall rectangle than that of its predecessor in which the sensor dedicated to the black and white camera has been repositioned .
The OPPO Find X3 Lite has three available colors (Astral Blue, Starry Black and Galactic Silver), and in that design also stands out the slightly curved 2.5D glass that allows the front to partially “wrap” the side edges. The front screen is not fully symmetrical , and there is a slight lower chin that is unobtrusive nonetheless.
On the right side we find the power button, while on the left are the two (separate) volume control buttons and, above them, the small access to the dual nano SIM card slot. As we have said, unfortunately that tray does not allow to expand the storage capacity through Micro SD cards.
The camera module has a slight protrusion, and at the bottom we find both the USB-C connector that allows access to data transfer and SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging at 65 W as well as the 3.5 mm minijack connector , a good news for those who want to continue using these types of headphones.
In those specifications it is important to include that Qualcomm processor that integrates support for 5G mobile networks and that of course should give room for maneuver to enjoy the terminal without problems.
It is, however, the same SoC that was used in the previous model, so here we do not expect appreciable improvements in the experience except those introduced by the software, which is much more recent: Android 11 and Color OS 11.1 are the options here .
There are also changes in its main camera, which in last year’s model was 48 MP f / 1.7 and now makes the leap to a 64 MP f / 1.7 sensor . This raises theoretical improvements, especially in the level of detail that we can extract from the photos. The rest of the sensors are apparently identical to the Find X2 Lite, but it will be interesting to see if the new software makes the photographic quality make a significant difference.
The cameras have Ultra Night and Ultra Steady Video mode to record videos taking advantage of stabilization mechanisms that according to the manufacturer work remarkably.
The data that can generate more doubts is that of the battery, which nevertheless grows (from 4,025 mAh we went to 4,300 mAh ) and that especially stands out for that support of the super fast charge at 65 W of the OPPO system. The SuperVOOC 2.0 charger is included in the box.
The new OPPO Find X3 Lite will be available in that single version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
This model will be available in Europe on March 30 in Spain in Astral Blue and Starry Black colors. The launch price will be 469 euros in the manufacturer’s Spanish store , but the offer includes the OPPO Enco X wireless headphones.
