Yesterday was one of the most important events in the history of Samsung. The South Korean manufacturer gave the bell with the presentation of five smartphones : five renew and expand their famous Galaxy S family , but the last goes further and with the Samsung Galaxy Fold raises a mobile revolution.
Is it really? That is what we try to elucidate in this new installment of Despeja la X in which we have our first impressions of these devices, their differences with the previous generation and, above all, the impact that folding screens can have on the world of technology.
Comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 + versus the Xiaomi Mi 9, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, iPhone Xs and more: the battle to be the best mobile of 2019 begins now
In Samsung they had a lot to tell, and there was a clear role for the Samsung Galaxy S10 in all its variants. The new range tops of this firm renew the Galaxy S9 last year, but they do it accompanied by two new and amazing members for the family, the compact S10e and the ambitious S10 5G with that connectivity that will still take a few months to be available.
There is a lot of fabric to cut in this new family not only in terms of specifications but in experience of use, and here we had the opportunity to attend a previous event in which we could work with the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e for a few hours . These first impressions allow us to verify that there are many successes here, but also some other element that generates doubts, such as the quality of the cameras .
In addition to that family of mobile Samsung also wanted to promote its catalog of wearables . The Galaxy Buds headphones were protagonists with their new wireless charging system, but we also had time to talk about their two new solutions for the quantification of physical activity.
We leave the main course of the menu for the end and reflect on the arrival and impact of the Galaxy Fold. Samsung’s unique folding phone stands out for its design and features, although another thing that stands out is its price, close to 2,000 euros. Does such a product make sense in the current market? Will he have it in the future?
This is where the podcast participants have conflicting opinions . In this episode of Despeja la X we are Amparo Babiloni , director of Engadget Android and Engadget Mobile, and a server, Javier Pastor , senior editor in Engadget. In the production and presentation is as always Santiago Araújo .
