Samsung’s family of professional notebooks will grow this year with a 15-inch version of its most striking convertible. The new Samsung Notebook 9 Pen releases more stylized design, improvements in the pen and most importantly: a 15-inch diagonal version.

Fewer frames and a new 15-inch model

Although the idea behind the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen is not new (we saw the first generation with S-Pen before last year’s CES), this version introduces a series of improvements that make it more interesting.

It is obvious that the design has been reinforced at the level of finishes , transmitting a feeling of more quality and packaging thanks also to the reduction of frames on your screen. With this Samsung has achieved that there can be a version of this two in one with 15-inch screen in a more compact size.

This new configuration with diagonal of 15 inches offers a differentiation with respect to the model of 13 inches in that it gives the possibility of having a dedicated graphic solution. It is the GeForce MX150, so do not expect great graphics performance.

The screen, beyond the novelty of the diagonal of 15 inches, is maintained with a resolution of 1080p, which leaves it at a clear disadvantage with the high-end of professional-cut notebooks. On that screen you will still be able to draw and write with the help of the Pen , which has a place in the laptop’s chassis and does not change at the design level, although its performance has been improved with greater sensitivity.

In the rest of specifications, of which only has been given for now an advance prior to its official presentation at the next CES in Las Vegas, there is no more remarkable news beyond the increase in battery capacity to try to improve its autonomy , which Samsung now places in the very optimistic margin of 15 hours .

The new Samsung Notebook 9 Pen will arrive with eighth-generation Intel processors and connectivity based exclusively on three USB-C ports (two of them Thunderbolt 3), headphone output / input and microSD card reader. The HDMI output and the USB-A port disappear. At the level of biometric identification, we have both fingerprint reader and camera for Hello.

Samsung Notebook 9 Pen: models, price and availability

Waiting for your announcement to be official in the next month of January, within the CES of Las Vegas, for now we do not know the versions and configurations that will be available nor the starting price, which stood at 1300 euros last year .
